Physical Health & Hygiene Initiative

Let's Bob & Weave!: Our physical exercise program uses the sport of boxing to help get the program participants and their families in shape. The Lions Gate program will host quarterly boxing camps to get everyone moving. The program will show families that they do not need a ring to BOB & WEAVE! Beginning with a few demonstrations participants will learn to move like a champion, by jumping rope, float like a Butterfly and Sting like a Bee, sit-ups, push-ups, shadow boxing and more.

Dental Health Fair: The Lennox Lewis Family Foundation will host an annual dental fair in Jamaica for children enrolled in our programs and their families. The Jamaica Observer states (Feb.1, 2011) "there are 17,000 persons to everyone dentist in the private sector and 62,000 to a dentist in the public sector, even as a local oral health survey further reveals that approximately two-thirds of adults and children are not free of visible tooth decay."

Life Skills Development

Knights to Kings Initiative: The mentoring and character building program is for boys ages 12-17. The program helps to prepare boys for manhood by teaching them the life skills needed to become productive citizens in their communities and enlisting model male professionals from the sports, corporate, and academic industries to educate them about the importance of Honesty, Integrity, Responsibility, Leadership, Communicating Professionally vs. Socially, Service, Caring for others, and having a healthy moral compass (making right decisions).
