Career Exploration
Knights in Training: This career initiative is to assist participants discover the careers they are most interested in. Participants will go through an extensive process of self assessments, career exploration, understanding the skills need to be obtained, the likelihood of finding a job in that field, and what needs to be done to manage the career. Knights in Training will use the World of Boxing and Tourism to help guide the participants through the career exploration program.
Academic Preparedness
Based on the student's academic strengths and/or weakness the program will provide weekly academic tutorial sessions for all participants enrolled. The tutorials will be held in an afterschool setting with a focus on all academic core courses that students should master to graduate from high school and be prepared to move on to university if they choose to. In addition to tutorial sessions the program will also provide daily homework labs for students to have an opportunity to come before going home to complete homework with program mentors in place to check their assignments on a daily basis and work on any school projects when needed.
