From Amateur to Pro
(October 31) Annexed the EBU (European Boxing Union) heavyweight title
(April 30) Captured the Commonwealth title against Derek Williams. He gave up the European belt after three successful defences. Lennox was awarded the WBC Title after Bowe threw the belt in the trash can rather than face Lewis.
(September 24) Lost the WBC Title to Oliver McCall.
(February 7) Regained the WBC Title
(13 November) Unifies heavyweight championships to become Britain's first undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in over 100 years and the first to unify all belts since 1992.
(April 21) Hasim Rahman shocked the world with a stunning knockout over Heavyweight ChampionLennox Lewis, in what will go down as one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.
(November 17) Regained heavyweight title from Rahman, making him a three-time heavyweight champion.
In the much anticipated rematch, Lennox Lewis won back his WBC, IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles
(August 6) Knocked out Mike Tyson in eight rounds at the time, the highest-grossing prize fight in history.
(June 21) Stopped #1 contender, Vitali Klitschko, in six-round TKO
(February 6) Retired from professional boxing as only the third man in history to do so while still reigning as Heavyweight Champion.
Inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame
(June 14) Inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
